Presets

One click for the sizes people ask for most.

Fit or exact — which one do you want?

Fit within

The whole image is kept and scaled until it sits inside your width and height. Best when nothing may be cropped — product shots, documents, screenshots.

Exact (crop)

The frame is filled edge to edge and the overflow is trimmed. Best for square avatars, story frames and banners where the shape matters more than the edges.

Resizing and file size

Half the width

Around 75% fewer pixels — usually the single biggest size win.

Never upscaled

Images are only ever scaled down, so nothing gets artificially soft.

Format preserved

Your file comes back as the same type, unless it can't be written.

Questions

Will resizing stretch my image?+

No. Fit keeps the aspect ratio inside the box you choose. Exact crops to fill the frame instead.

Can I enlarge an image?+

You can, but browsers can only invent detail, not recover it. Upscaling beyond the original usually looks soft.

Does resizing change the format?+

No — the file comes back in the same format, just at the new dimensions.

How much smaller does resizing make the file?+

Roughly with the pixel count. Halving both width and height removes about 75% of the pixels, and the file usually follows.

What's the difference between fit and exact?+

Fit shrinks the whole image until it sits inside your box, so nothing is cut off. Exact fills the box completely and trims the overflow.

Are resized images uploaded anywhere?+

No. The resize happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
