Three ways to land under 100 KB
Lower the quality
The default route. For photos, quality can usually fall a long way before anyone notices, which is often enough on its own to clear 100 KB.
Reduce the dimensions
Halving the width removes about three quarters of the pixels. Tick allow resizing and the search will use it only if needed.
Change the format
WEBP is typically 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, and AVIF smaller still.
